Virtek IRIS Paint uses Vision Positioning System ( VPS) to visualize the location of paint flaws post automated inspection process. A laser-line will highlight the flaw and guide the operator for immediate re-work.

The VPS integrates automatic CAD alignment, overlaying defect locations for precise targeting. As parts enter the rework cell, the system receives the identification number, part type, and defect list.
The CAD system loads and displays the defects in a butterfly view. With automatic self-monitoring, VPS compensates for thermal and physical drift, ensuring continued accuracy. Multiple VPS systems can be utilized together to provide full coverage of the vehicle.
How it Works- 4 Simple Steps
Step 1: Part enters the re-work cell
Identification number, part type, and defect list are transferred to software.
Step 2 - CAD is loaded
The inspection system creates a list of defects - displayed on screen in butterfly view.
Step 3 - Alignment
Alignment is automatic and self-monitoring, compensating for thermal and physical drift.
Step 4 - Operators classify defects and perform fixes
The system is designed to work with stop and go work cells or a moving line.
