The Project
Composites Horizon's Manufacturing Ox-Ox CMC parts: The precision-cut patterns are hand-laid on custom metal molds. Layup is assisted by laser projection systems provided by Virtek.
The Challenge
You can’t simply take hot-zone materials and put them on polymer-matrix composite (PMC) cutters, or put them in a PMC layup room, it will have contamination issues.
