VIRTEK’S COMPETITIVE EDGE is in providing high value laser products and total turnkey solutions. We have the ability to guide a beam of laser light along a specified path with a high degree of speed and accuracy. Currently, we apply this ability in three different business areas.
In laser imaging or inspection applications, the specified path is the outline of the part that is being scanned. In laser projection or templating applications, the specified path is the outline of where jigging or parts are to be placed in an assembly process. In laser marking and engraving applications, the laser produces a repeatable, flexible, consistent mark that does not scratch the surface.
Our laser systems require little maintenance, eliminate the need for costly
consumables and reduce the amount of material handling and skilled labor required.
Laser Inspection
Virtek’s laser inspection system is used to speed quality control of flat parts
that are later formed into components for a number of industries.
With advanced software features including first article inspection,
Statistical Process Control (SPC) and reverse engineering, our advanced
LaserQC® system enjoys success in the metal fabrication and gasket business.
Laser Templating
Virtek’s laser templating products are used to project and display the precise
outline and location of part and component placement onto a work surface in an
assembly process.
In the prefabricated construction market, Virtek TrussLine® has long been a
leader in automated systems for the manufacture of roof trusses. We also provide lasers used in wall and floor
panel manufacturing, computer numeric-controlled (CNC) applications, heavy
equipment and RV/mobile home production and pre-cast concrete.
In the transportation sector, Virtek LaserEdge® is widely used to manufacture
composite aircraft parts such as engine nacelles, vertical and horizontal
stabilizers, wings and leading edges. Other applications for this technology
include the manufacture of composite parts for trains, high performance
automobiles and ships; assembly wiring harnesses; and painting layout
applications.
Virtek LaserEdge® PLANNER bridges the gap between CAD drawings and the laser-assisted manufacturing processes. PLANNER is a stand-alone software package that works with LaserEdge projection systems, removing the need for time-consuming shop floor tests. It enables manufacturing engineers to visualize, create, and edit data directly from native CAD models in a virtual 3D environment.
Laser Marking & Engraving
Virtek’s laser marking products are used to mark or engrave a wide variety of information
onto ceramics, glass, metals, plastics and wood.
Used in the automotive, electronics, glass, mold making, packaging, plastics
and tool industries, Virtek FOBA laser material processing products
provide precise, flexible, fast and contact free permanent modification
of almost any surface.
Used in the prefabricated construction industry, Virtek LaserMC marks
detailed design parameters on wet or dry treated lumber in order to assist
in wall panel assembly. It also reduces the amount of material handling and
skilled labor required.
The Virtek I-Joist Processing (VIP) System is used in prefabricated construction to improve the production of I-Joists, completing work faster and more efficiently. The system analyzes the job then cuts lengths and service holes, marks, and routes while optimizing lumber usage.
